Based on our high current laser diode technology, OptiSwitch has developed a custom fiber coupled light source. This technology is unique because it couples light from two laser diodes bars into eight individual fibers. Our current version operates at 1120 nm with approx 1 mJ of optical energy in a 30 μs pulse or 150 μJ for 1.5 μs pulse into each fiber. The optical rise time is less than 500 ns, and features a modular design which is rack mountable.
